Hertfordshire has been shortlisted in two categories for the 2016 Better Business for All Awards. The awards are part of the Better Business for All programme, which was set up to create partnerships to identify problems faced by local businesses and provide them with support. Metro Bank tops biggest survey of financial consumers in Britain

Metro Bank has been named Britain’s most trusted financial provider, in the biggest survey of financial consumers in Britain. The survey was carried out by financial advice website Moneywise for the Moneywise Customer Service Awards 2017. The challenger bank earned the top spot for the second year running, after 50,000 Moneywise readers provided feedback on major banks, insurance companies, and peer-to-peer lenders.

UK jobs, wages look set to increase in 2015

Great news for professionals and graduates as CBI survey shows UK firms plan to hire in 2015 and experts predict larger pay increases. It appears that 2015 will be a fruitful year for British employees and jobseekers alike. A recent survey from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) showed that around half of UK businesses are looking to expand their workforce. This was then followed by a prediction of increased pay awards for employees from Martin Weale, a member of the Bank of England’s (BOE) monetary policy committee.
