LSBF Partners With Baker Tilly to Expand International Scholarship Programme

The London School of Business & Finance and the international auditing firm Baker Tilly today announced a joint scholarship programme to support postgraduate students from Ukraine. Through the programme, some of the most talented students from Ukraine will be awarded a scholarship of up to 50 % of the total cost of a course taken at LSBF in London.

Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Opportunity

Professor David Rae, Director for Enterprise & Innovation at University of Lincoln, delivered a guest lecture on ‘Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Learning’ to a crowded room of students in LSBF on Thursday, 28 November. Professor Rae is a founding member of the Institute of Small Business and Enterprise and has published widely on this topic in both peer-reviewed and trade journals.

Last week, LSBF welcomed two recruitment specialists to share with students their insight into the finance and accountancy job market, and advise them on how to make top employers – and recruiters – sit up and take notice. The event, led by Jenny Poole, from GAAPWeb; and Mark Thomas, Director of Marks Sattin; was part of a series of workshops and guest speaker events organised by LSBF Careers & Employability Services.

As a school that is dedicated to providing students with the expert advice needed to excel in their chosen industries, last month the Careers Service team at LSBF’s Birmingham Campus, Finance Business Training (FBT), hosted an open conference with Alistair Darby, CEO of Mitchells & Butlers. This FTSE 250 Company represents some of the best known brands in the food and beverage industry, such as Harvester and Toby Carvery. Alistair Darby is the man at the top who controls the strategy in over 1600 of its bars and restaurants, employing over 40,000 members of staff around the UK.

LSBF Partners with Georgian Government to Expand International Scholarship Programme

London 9th October 2013 - The London School of Business and Finance today announced the expansion of its international scholarship programme after signing an agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The programme aims to provide financial support to Georgian students looking to study postgraduate degrees at LSBF's UK campuses.
