Financial Reporter launches awards to celebrate women in financial services

UK financial services news website Financial Reporter has launched its first Women's Recognition Awards to recognise successful women in the financial services industry.

Applications for the awards are now open, with the Financial Reporter inviting people to nominate themselves or someone who they believe deserves to receive an award.

Categories

The awards consist of a number of categories, with women being celebrated across a wide range of areas in the industry, including financial technology, financial advice, specialist lending and management.

People who are taking action to raise awareness of gender equality will also be recognised, as well as those who have addressed the issue by introducing changes in the workplace.

Applications for the awards will close on 13 July, with a panel of male and female industry experts then selecting the finalists from each category. Winners will be announced at the WRA Winners’ Party in September.

The announcement of the awards comes after Financial Reporter’s parent company, Barcadia Media, became the first media publication in financial services to sign the Women in Finance Charter, an initiative run by HM Treasury.
