Xero to launch online learning tool for students and employees

UK cloud accounting software company Xero is to launch an online learning tool aimed at students and employees to help boost their skills.

The Xero Lifelong Learning Platform was one of many new products that were demonstrated at Xerocon in London.

Milestone

The announcement of the new products comes as Xero celebrates reaching its milestone of a quarter of a million small business subscribers in the UK.

Over the past year, Xero has worked with all of the UK’s major banks to boost its digital services to SMBs. The company announced that it will be strengthening its partnership with HSBC and Banco Santander to provide enhanced banking services on its platform.

In addition to its learning platform, Xero will be launching Xero Projects for small businesses in professional services and Xero Expenses, which will use Open APIs to enable banks to connect with small business employees.

The company will also be boosting its services for accountants and bookkeepers with its Xero HQ open practice platform, which will provide access to a range of other tools.

Value

Commenting on the company’s achievements, Xero Founder and CEO Rod Drury said that they are excited to celebrate this milestone with their valued community of accountants, bookkeepers and ecosystem partner at Xerocon.

He added that passing through 250,000 UK subscribers with a focus on strong revenue growth sends clear signals that their global platform is delivering powerful value to accountants, bookkeepers and small businesses.
