The BBC will be searching for applicants over the age of 18 who have a strong business idea and a well-built business plan. Entrepreneurs who apply are also required to provide financial information such as the projected turnover of their business.

All entrepreneurs must submit an application form to be considered for the programme, with all applicants having the option to apply direct. The BBC also approaches entrepreneurs directly as part of its applications process.

Dragons’ Den is now in its 15th series and has helped many entrepreneurs to transform their business ideas into successful brands. Businesses and entrepreneurs that have been launched through the TV programme include online takeaway platform Hungry House, travel and technology company Mainstage Travel, children’s suitcase company Trunki, and Levi Roots, who successfully secured investment for his Reggae Reggae Sauce.

The current line-up consists of entrepreneur Deborah Meaden, Moonpig founder Nick Jenkins, fashion retail entrepreneur and Hawes & Curtis boss Touker Suleyman, restaurateur and finance expert Sarah Willingham, and entrepreneur Peter Jones, who has been part of the panel since the show first launched.
