£1 million funding available to UK entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs in the UK can take part in a global competition to win a share of £1 million equity-free funding for their business.
Business people who are selected for the Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition will be competing against entrepreneurs from the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Israel, India and Japan.
20 entrepreneurs from the UK will be selected by a team of business experts from the start-up community to participate in a pitching event in the national final at the London headquarters of crowdfunding platform Seedrs.
The winner of the national final will receive a prize of £10,000, whilst entrepreneurs who are selected for second and third place will receive £5,000 and £3,000 respectively in each country.
Ten entrepreneurs will then travel to China to compete in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition to secure £100,000 in funding.
Applications for London entrepreneurs are now open and will close on 28th February 2017.
Seedrs Co-Founder and Chief Executive Jeff Lynn said: “Not only is a huge cash injection up for grabs, but IEIC is giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch in front of some of the leading investors and mentors in the early stage arena.”
He added that the Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition is building bridges among global start-up communities, and it is going to be an invaluable experience for ambitious young entrepreneurs.
