IPG teams up with business platform to launch skills hub

The Independent Publishers Guild (IPG) and business learning platform Thought Industries will be providing free training and professional development opportunities through a new online skills hub.

This partnership comes after the IPG's Independent Publishing Report showed that members were most concerned about training and professional development.

Training

The IPG already provides businesses that are members of the company with online training packages, and will be able to build on this service through the new partnership.

The new hub will give IPG members access to many training opportunities, including mobile-friendly e-learning modules from expert tutors which enable them to develop their skills.

Thought Industries will be using its cloud-based Learning Business Platform to help the IPG provide customised online experiences and other services to businesses.

Opportunities

Bridget Shine said: “We are thrilled to be opening up new educational opportunities for our members to make their businesses even better, and excited to be working with Thought Industries to help us provide accessible, user-friendly and engaging learning experiences.”

Thought Industries President Doug Murphy added that the company is “excited” to see the IPG taking an “innovative approach” to enhancing its membership offerings through online learning.
