International recruitment app launches in UK

Jobseekers in the North East region of the UK will be the first to access job opportunities through recruitment app HiUp.

The launch will mark the first time that the app has been made available in the UK.

Employability

The free app enables jobseekers to create their own virtual CV, locate jobs and identify training opportunities.

Jobseekers can also apply for accredited online courses across a wide range of sectors.

Meanwhile, employers will gain access to employees with relevant qualifications and can improve the skills of existing employees by getting them to register with the app.

Ben Maughan, UK Marketing Director for HiUp, said: “HiUp was developed because we believed that the traditional recruitment agency model needed to be changed, as a lot of the time people were chasing work that they weren’t qualified for.

“This app isn’t just for jobseekers however. It’s a useful tool for recruitment agencies themselves to change the way they work and for training providers, colleges and universities who can use the platform to deliver courses to people anywhere in the world.”
