Financial services bosses voted best in UK

A report from employee incentives company, One4all Rewards, has revealed the industries with the best bosses to work for in the UK, with financial services bosses taking the top spot.

The One4all Rewards Review of UK Management whitepaper, surveyed 1,024 UK employees and found bosses in the banking and insurance sectors are the best to work for. 62 per cent of employees who work in these sectors rating their boss as “good” or “excellent.”

Law and accountancy came second, with 61 per cent of workers believing their boss is good or excellent.

Employers in the leisure and travel industries also scored highly, with 60 per cent describing their boss this way, followed by management in the healthcare sector at 59 per cent.

Local and national government bosses came fifth on the list, with 58 per cent of civil service employees rating their boss highly.

This was followed by employers in the education sector (56 per cent), administrative and support service (55 per cent), retail (54 per cent), trades (53 per cent) and information communications (50 per cent).

Overall, employees in Britain were found to have a high opinion of their manager, with 56 per cent speaking about them positively in the report, while just 13 per cent rated their manager as “poor.”
