Accenture recruits 1,700 people in the UK

Global management consulting and professional services company Accenture has recruited 1,700 people, with the company offering opportunities from executives to apprentices and graduates.

Accenture is filling over 500 job roles in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cyber Defence, and Data Science for its recruitment drive, particularly focusing on London and Newcastle.

Boost

Accenture is looking to attract a diverse range of candidates, recruiting 600 entry-level candidates.

The company is offering technology and digital-based training to 40 apprentices in 2017, with opportunities being provided through Movement to Work, an initiative which sees Accenture collaborating with other employers to help tackle unemployment among young people.

It is also looking to boost its technology advisory and consulting staff in key sectors such as financial services, as well as increasing its headcount in its Operations, Strategy and Security businesses.

Accenture has made a number of investments in talent to boost its innovation capabilities. The company launched Liquid Studio in London, which enables clients to experiment with advanced technologies, and the Innovation Centre for Finance & Risk in Newcastle to develop solutions in finance and risk data management.

Commitment

Commenting, Accenture UK and Ireland Chairman and Senior Managing Director Olly Benzecry said: “Accenture’s growing workforce marks our ongoing commitment to the UK as we continue to help our clients navigate through a period of unprecedented change and digital disruption.”

He added: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to be at Accenture as we work with organisations to unlock value through innovation.”
