Trainline launches new app for business travellers

Independent train ticket retailer Trainline has launched a new feature in its app to help make travelling by train easier for business travellers.

The Trainline App, which offers features such as live journey updates and one-click refunds, now has a new business profile feature that enables businesses to separate business and leisure travel accounts.

Features

The new business app profiles will offer a wide range of features to make train travel easier for business travellers.

Trainline will also be launching a new SME web portal in addition to the new feature, which will enable employers to invite employees and manage their business travel.

Using the business profile app, employers can invite employees to join a company account, whilst independent business travellers can easily set up a profile by downloading the app.

The feature will also enable business travellers to compare fares from all UK train companies, and will help them to save time by providing mobile tickets to all available train routes in the UK.

Logical

Commenting on the new feature, Trainline General Manager of Business and Ancillary, Sophie Krishnan, said: “Trainline has been continuously investing in its App over the last couple of years. It’s now a terrific product in the hands of travellers. We know a third of our leisure customers are using our App for business travel, so making an in-app business profile available to users was the next logical step. Combined with Trainline’s new web portal for business, it should make the lives of business travellers and bookers a lot easier.”
