A data analyst, scientist or engineer nowadays should be capable of mining data and recognising patterns within them and revealing insights. However, how can one ‘talk the data’ in a meaningful story? On this module, you’ll be taught tried and tested methods of communicating data.

The famous engineer, E.S Ferguson, called this method “thinking with pictures,” as it’s important for data scientists to communicate visually, so this module will familiarise you with some useful software for this task.

By the end of the module, you will be able to produce visual outputs including various types of graphs that not only communicate clearly but also stimulate viewer engagement and attention. You will also be fully competent in incorporating statistical analysis and modelling in your work.
