Awards ceremony to celebrate entrepreneurship in the North East

Nominations for an awards ceremony that celebrates the best entrepreneurs in the North East are now open.

The 13th annual North East Entrepreneurial Awards will be accepting nominations until Friday 27th May. The event is organised by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, a support forum that helps entrepreneurs and business leaders get inspired.

Amazing potential

Any business leader can be nominated for the awards, which consist of four categories: The Entrepreneur of the Year Award, The Emerging Talent Award, The Lifetime Achievement Award, and The Mentor of the Year Award.

The Entrepreneur Award, which is sponsored by Ward Hadaway, recognises the very best North East businesses, whilst the Emerging Talent Award is presented to an individual who is building a business that shows “amazing potential.”

A business leader who has made contributions over a long period of time will be presented with The Lifetime Achievement Award, and entrepreneurs who have taken time to help their peers will be up for The Mentor of the Year Award.

Economic growth

Entrepreneurs’ Forum Chairman Nigel Mills stated that the awards “celebrate the very best in North East Entrepreneurship, and rightly so.”

“Entrepreneurs work tirelessly to build the businesses that people rely on for jobs and economic growth,” he said, adding that as with previous years, the Entrepreneurs’ Forum expects a “very high standard” of entrepreneurs to be nominated.

The awards ceremony will be held on Friday 7th October at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle.
