LSBF Great Minds series wins prestigious Editor’s Award at PQ Awards 2016

London, 2 March 2016 – London School of Business and Finance’s (LSBF) Great Minds series, an ongoing series of video interviews with business and political leaders, has now become an award winning video series.

At the PQ Magazine Awards 2016, held on 23February in Central London, the LSBF Great Minds series received the prestigious Editor’s Award.

More than 20 business and political personalities were interviewed last year as part of the Great Minds series, including the start of a new live audience category of videos: Great Minds Live. The live format was initiated to give LSBF students the chance to take part in the interviews, interact in the Q&As, and meet the guests at networking sessions.

Rob Sowerby, LSBF Director of Professional Courses, said: “We are very proud to receive this award. This recognition reflects the success of LSBF’s Great Minds series in providing the student community insights into the professional world through our interactions with business and industry leaders.”

In 2013, entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, founder and chairman of the Virgin Group, was interviewed by LSBF, and the following year saw LSBF speak to former British Prime Minister Sir John Major, award-winning journalist Jon Snow, and entrepreneur Deborah Meaden.

“The Great Minds series will continue to work toward achieving its primary goal – inspiring students and promoting debate on education, employability, entrepreneurship, and the economy,” added Mr Sowerby.

Some of the high profile business leaders that have participated include Kevin Mathers, UK Sales Director at Google UK; Tim Davie, CEO at BBC Worldwide; Kevin Ellis, Managing Partner at PwC; Terra Firma founder Guy Hands; and David Kershaw, CEO of M&C Saatchi.

To date, the series has published 35 videos, and there are many more scheduled for release in due course.
