EdTech businesses team up to launch London EdTech Week

London EdTech Week

Ten of London’s leading education technology companies have teamed up to launch London EdTech Week.

British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), EdtechXGlobal, EdTech Exchange and Google for Education are amongst the organisations that will be launching the event, which is set to take place from 19th to 23rd June 2017.

Developments

London EdTech Week will show the latest developments in education technology, with a number of events set to take place throughout the week. The event is open to those participating in EdTech and will give them the opportunity to engage through meet-ups, conferences and other events.

Events will include live podcasts for education leaders and business managers, which will be hosted by The Edtech Podcast and Nesta, and talks on topics such as “Measuring EdTech Effectiveness”, which will be hosted by BESA.

People from the local and global education technology community are also being invited to participate by hosting their own event in London during the same week.

London EdTech Week will coincide with the EdTechXEurope conference, which is now in its fifth year and will take place in London on 20th and 21st June.

Innovation

EdtechXGlobal and London EdTech Week Co-Founder, Benjamin Vedrenne-Cloquet, said that innovation in education needs collaborative and community-led approaches, and this is the reason why they are excited to connect, together with their ten co-chairs, the whole of the EdTech ecosystem through a collaborative and community-led week-long series of events.

He added that they expect over 6,000 people across 20 events in London, who are ready to engage in discussion with the greatest minds and most disruptive innovators in the worldwide EdTech scene.
