E-commerce firm targets UK start-ups and entrepreneurs

UK start-ups and entrepreneurs

A Canadian e-commerce firm named Shopify is targeting start-ups and creative entrepreneurs in London for its new accelerator programme.

It is searching for start-ups and entrepreneurs in the e-commerce sector to participate in the Shopify Partner Accelerator and create more development professionals and web designers in the area.

Businesses that participate will be able to receive training, mentoring, and guidance, as well as access to free work space.

Participants would also be able to take part in collaborative projects and work with four other London-based companies, which have yet to be named.

Shopify Chief Operating Officer Harley Finkelstein said “We know the problems that prevent freelancers from getting their business off the ground. That’s why we’re creating a freelancer studio to help launch successful client-based businesses in the ecommerce space.”

Applications for the programme are now open.
