Uni-hood to launch business club for young people

Uni-hood is to launch a business club for young people. The company will be launching The Entrepreneurs Club to help young people develop the skills they need in order to set up their own business.
The project will provide young people with the opportunity to receive mentoring from a group of successful businessmen and businesswomen.
Uni-hood was set up in 2011 to tackle the problems caused by “Postcode Wars” and to provide opportunities for young people. The project focuses on keeping young people out of gangs by providing them with mentoring and practical initiatives.
The Entrepreneurs Club will pair experienced entrepreneurs with young people through education to help them develop their academic skills and advance their business enterprise, social achievement and economic advancement.
According to organisers, The Entrepreneurs Club business course will run for six weeks and will enable young people to learn how to take a business idea and “turn it into a profitable business.”
“By the end of the course, the young entrepreneurs will have produced a business which will enhance individuals quality of life,” the organisers said.
Commenting on the new initiative, organisers said: “We believe that anyone can learn and apply the critical skills of empathy, teamwork, leadership and change making to be successful in the modern world.”
The Entrepreneurs Club will be aimed at young people aged 13 to 21 and will be launched in July. A charity concert will be held prior to the launch at The Coronet Theatre in London on 23rd June.
