PwC and EY make list of most open-minded

Research from salary benchmarking website has revealed which firms are the most open-minded and willing to consider new ideas. Professional services and Big Four firms PwC and EY made it into the top five, cited by 88 per cent and 86 per cent of employees respectively.

Goldman Sachs topped the list, with 90 per cent of employees being satisfied with the company’s open-mindedness.

Investment management company Blackrock came in second with 89 per cent, while management consultants Accenture made it into fifth place with 80 per cent.


The research found young people with less than five years of experience are the happiest when it comes to their employer’s open-mindedness, with 62 per cent being satisfied. This is compared to 49 per cent of employees with over 15 years of experience.

The sectors with the highest levels of employee satisfaction were also identified, with media businesses topping the list at 75 per cent. This was followed by web companies at 71 per cent and consulting and professional services companies at 67 per cent. Financial services also made the list, coming in seventh place with 57 per cent.

Crucial Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Alice Leguay commented: “As corporates strive to connect with millennials and retain them, it is crucial for employees to feel they are part of a company which can remain current.”

She stated that continuous training, skills development, flexible working patterns, sabbaticals and unlimited vacation are all ways in which businesses can show open-mindedness.
