Top entrepreneurs to attend small business expo ScaleUp 2016
The ScaleUp 2016 expo, which brings leading business experts and entrepreneurs together to discuss current business issues, has now been announced.
The event is organised by Enterprise Nation in collaboration with the ScaleUp Institute and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales (ICAEW).
The event will be attended by experts such as Tim Robinson of delivery solution Doddle, Enterprise Nation Founder and SME Crown Representative Emma Jones MBE, and Irene Graham from ScaleUp Institute's board.
There will also be a panel of funders, including Barclay’s Bank, to help businesses explore their funding options.
The aim of the event is to help small businesses overcome the five key barriers that were identified in the independent Scale-Up Report on UK Economic Growth 2014. These barriers are: finding employees with the right skills, building leadership capability, accessing customers in other markets, accessing the right combination of finance, and navigating infrastructure.
Emma Jones said: “While start-up rates remain high, scale-up rates in Britain are still lagging behind those of other countries.
“This is not down to a lack of ambition, this is about opening up access to the skills and advice businesses desperately need to clear the common hurdles on the journey towards growth.”
The expo will take place on 3rdNovember in Birmingham.
