New e-learning initiative for aspiring franchisees

E-learning initiative

Lloyds Bank and the British Franchise Association (bfa) have launched a new online learning initiative for aspiring franchisees.

The Prospect Franchisee Certificate (PFC) will enable people considering starting a franchise to learn about the financial aspects of starting and growing a business.

Comprehensive

The free course will be video-based, covering topics such as business management, assessing franchise opportunities and financial understanding.

The aim is to deliver a “comprehensive overview” of how to achieve success in the franchise sector, which is worth £15 billion.

Participants can also hear from franchisers and gain an understanding of what it takes to be a good franchisee.

Comments

bfa CEO Pip Wilkins said: “Anyone who is considering starting a franchise should be taking this course as an integral part of their research. It costs nothing, is jargon-free and will help them stand out as business-aware and ready to hit the ground running in their new venture.”

Lloyds Bank Head of Franchising Richard Holden added: “Everyone is looking for better-informed investors and the newly developed Prospect Franchisee Certificate program will help to deliver exactly that.”
