ACCA to help provide cloud services to UK accountants

ACCA to help provide cloud services to UK accountants

The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) has partnered with a cloud hosting company to provide cloud services to accountants in the UK.

Cobweb Solutions, a leading UK cloud hosting provider, will be working with ACCA to provide productivity tools to 70,000 accountants.

Tools

In addition to Cobweb Solutions, the ACCA will also be teaming up with Microsoft to provide the service.

Accountants will have access to Microsoft Office 365, which they can use to access, edit, and share files.

While the service will focus mainly on productivity tools, it will also offer a number of security tools to enable accountancy professionals to avoid data breaches.

Microsoft will be providing advanced security services through Microsoft Azure Active Directory Premium, Azure Rights Management Service, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics, which are all products within the company’s Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS).

Benefits

Accountants will also receive a number of benefits through the service, including discounts on Microsoft’s products, a free productivity and security check, and free mailbox migration for ACCA members who are new to Microsoft Office 365.

Commenting on ACCA’s partnership with Microsoft, Chris Quick, Head of Publishing at ACCA, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Microsoft on our Marketplace scheme for ACCA members. Professional accountants have always been at the forefront of using technology in business, so our collaboration with Microsoft is very relevant to our members whatever sector they work in.”
