The Women in Business Scholarship
For women eager to progress up the corporate ladder, this scholarship aims to alleviate financial barriers and encourage the strategic and analytical thinking necessary for successful career progression at a senior management level. LSBF can help with identifying mentors, internship possibilities and networking events.
A recent study conducted by RicolLasteyrie and Associates shows that fewer than 10% of the world's top 300 companies' board members and directors are women. London School of Business & Finance has launched the new Women in Business Scholarship to provide women with leadership potential the means to succeed and become global leaders and help to remove obstacles in place. The scholarship will be awarded to women who wish to further their career prospects and who can show proof of good academic records and English Language skills.
Am I eligible?
Both overseas and home applicants will be considered for this scholarship. Candidates should be applying to start a new undergraduate or postgraduate course at London School of Business & Finance and will meet the English language requirements of their chosen programme. Applications from all subject areas will be considered and proof of sufficient funds to pay for any remaining course fees will be required.
Awards are made based on the following criteria:
- You are female
- Academic Merit
- Demonstration of leadership potential and at least 3 years of relevant work experience
How do I apply?
Apply at the same time you are applying for the programme of your choice at LSBF. The application deadline will be one month prior to the start date of your programme, please refer to the relevant information on the website or confirm this date with your programme consultant.
You must complete the personal statement section within the application form describing how you will benefit in terms of career and personal development after being awarded the Women in Business Scholarship. Please outline your relevant work experience and why you feel it is important to encourage women to succeed in business.
How will I know if I have been successful?
Your programme consultant will contact you with the results of your Women in Business Scholarship application. Due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants or provide feedback on applications.
Please note: The Women in Business Scholarship is awarded only in the form of a reduction in tuition fees payable to LSBF and does not include a contribution towards living costs, travel or other expenses.
The LSBF ACCA+MBA and LSBF ACCA+MSc programmes are dual programmes comprising of LSBF ACCA tuition, which is approved by ACCA under the Approved Learning Provider — Gold scheme, and the LSBF MBA/MSc programme which is fully outside the scope of ACCA approval. As such, the LSBF MBA/MSc programme is quality-assured and accredited by the University of Wales and LSBF’s institutional accreditations (including the BAC), and is not approved or endorsed by ACCA.
