The Emerging Markets Scholarship
As a long-term sponsor of business education, HRH Prince Michael of Kent has partnered with LSBF to create the Emerging Markets Scholarship. This specialised scholarship scheme recognises LSBF's understanding of social–economic responsibility, by allowing candidates from emerging markets the chance to study a degree in London. Applicants must demonstrate how they will contribute to the economic development of their emerging market should they be awarded this scholarship.
Am I eligible?
Applicants must be classified as international students and not residing in the UK. Candidates should be applying to start a new undergraduate or postgraduate course at London School of Business & Finance and will meet the English language requirements of their chosen programme. Applications from all subject areas will be considered and proof of sufficient funds to pay for any remaining course fees will be required.
Applicants for the Emerging Markets Scholarship must be a national of one of the following emerging markets:

Awards are made based on the following criteria:
- Academic Merit
- Financial Need
- The potential social contribution made by the applicant to their emerging market and its economic development
What does it cover?
The size of awards vary according to each scholar's circumstances and will only contribute to a reduction in tuition fees payable to LSBF and do not include a contribution towards living costs, travel, or other expenses.
How do I apply?
Apply at the same time you are applying for the programme of your choice at LSBF. The application deadline will be one month prior to the start date of your programme, please refer to the relevant information on the website or confirm this date with your programme consultant.
You must complete the personal statement section within the application form describing how you will benefit in terms of career and personal development after being awarded the Emerging Markets Scholarship. You must also describe how you will contribute to the socio–economic development of the country you are coming from through implementing the new skills and knowledge acquired in the UK.
How will I know if I have been successful?
Your programme consultant will contact you with the results of your Emerging Markets Scholarship application. Due to the volume of applications received, we are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants or provide feedback on applications.
Please note: The Emerging Markets Scholarship is awarded only in the form of a reduction in tuition fees payable to LSBF and does not include a contribution towards living costs, travel or other expenses.
