1st Class Careers Service

At London School of Business & Finance, we are committed to giving our students the skills to become leading financial and business leaders of the future.

We give you not only qualifications – we give you solutions:

  • Professional training in context of modern financial techniques
  • The skills and assurance to communicate at the highest level of business
  • The confidence to develop and reach your goals

Having the LSBF brand on your CV instantly makes you stand out from the crowd to any employer. Our partnership with the GGSB – ranked 32nd in Europe by the Financial Times 2007 – gives our students the cutting edge. The LSBF is the only school in London delivering AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB accredited programmes.

We’re also the only school to provide a tailor-made Career Surgery and Career Development service, to speed students along the path to their individual career destination – including the services of professional Careers Advisers.

Our close ties with corporate London enable us to welcome successful business leaders from top-ranked companies to LSBF regularly. This also explains the huge success of the LSBF’s Job Wire, which often results in student working for multinational and blue-chip corporations. The LSBF’s Career Service brings our students and the business community together.

Student visa and work eligibility
An international student may study in the UK if they have leave to remain as students. This leave to remain is normally issued for study periods lasting from 6 months to a couple of years and has conditions attached to it. Students are supposed to study full-time, 15 hours per week, day-time and during the weekdays. Another condition is a limitation on the right to work. Students are allowed to work 20 hours per week during term time and full time during their vacation.  For more information on student visas, visit the Visas and Immigration Information webpage.

Eligibility to work in the UK after graduation
International students who remain in the UK on a student visa for the duration of their studies at LSBF may be eligible to apply for a Post-Study Work Programme (introduced on 30th July 2008). The Programme allows UK graduates to work for two years in the UK and to potentially switch in-country to other working visa categories.

For more information about the Post-Study Work Programme, please visit the UK Border Agency website.
