They are either privately owned by landlord or run by estate agents. When using a letting agent/Landlord, you should enquire, if the agent/Landlord is accredited to the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS). The scheme sets out defined minimum standard for residential lettings and management that an estate agent or Landlord who is a member of NALS must provide, thus providing tenants with a professional and regulated service. Furthermore we would appreciate any feedback that students have regarding either these or any others they may have had dealings with.
