What will I learn?

The BIB is a comprehensive undergraduate programme that:

  • equips students with the knowledge and expertise to pursue a professional business career with an international emphasis.
  • enables graduates to work across multicultural barriers and develop effective global strategies.
  • develops students' understanding of international business theories.

Year 1: Certificate in International Business
The Certificate in International Business will prepare you for higher-level study, introducing key concepts on the major functions and dynamics of business, including theories which explore how to interpret market trends and apply this to fundamental business operations.

Year 2: Diploma in International Business
Core modules in the Diploma in International Business will provide you with an opportunity to understand how businesses operate and are resourced. The 6 week internship during this year of study is a valuable part of the course and vital to helping you develop a range of marketable skills. This placement will help you address the key issues that are related to employability and professional practice.

Year 3: Bachelors in International Business Degree
The final year's core modules provide you with an opportunity to generate and act on your business vision with an international perspective, having already gained a critical understanding of how companies are resourced and operated. During this year, you will be able to nurture your competitive advantage in a dedicated field by selecting from a wide range of specialised elective courses. These electives and the practical experience gained in Year 2 will help shape your final dissertation of 10,000-15,000 words, to be handed in at the end of your studies.
