Entry Requirements – Undergraduate Courses

Every application to London School of Business and Finance is assessed on its merits. Our Academic Board is happy to consider a range of academic and professional qualifications, as well as relevant work experience and skills.

If you feel that you may have a non-standard qualification, or that your circumstances are unusual, and you wish to discuss your application before submitting it, you can always contact your individual programme advisor.

The entry requirements guidelines for home and international students are listed below. For information on the application process; please visit the How to Apply section of our website.

Home students

We recognise all A Level subjects for admissions purposes, including linear and modular A Levels and General Studies. Your application should be supported by a satisfactory GCSE performance, normally consisting of five GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English.

Target score: 240-280 UCAS Tariff Points

Applicants who do not satisfy these academic requirements can, alternatively, apply for a Foundation Programme.

Overseas students

London School of Business & Finance accepts a wide range of international qualifications. As the nature and subject matter of these qualifications can vary greatly from UK higher education certificates, it is necessary for our Admissions Department to each application on an individual basis. Following the assessment process, we will advise you on the options available, and discuss with you which course best suits your specific requirements.

For overseas students, the entry requirements for our undergraduate programmes are still predominantly based on completed secondary education studies equivalent to UK A Level standard.

Overseas students are also requested to demonstrate a sufficient level of English language proficiency, by taking one of the recognised English language tests.

Target score: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

Student with insufficient entry qualification

These students may be required to take an International Foundation Programme, which will help them to satisfy the English and academic requirements for direct entry onto an undergraduate programme. Students with high levels of English proficiency (IELTS 6.5 equivalent and above) may qualify for entry onto the Foundation Programme.

Mature Students

London School of Business and Finance welcomes mature students, as we value the contribution that they make to the atmosphere of our school. A mature student is an individual who is aged 21 or over when they enrol on an undergraduate programme. As we assess every application on its individual merits, our Academic Board can consider work experience, as well as a range of academic and vocational qualifications, for your application. We recommend that you contact our Admissions Department if you believe your qualifications and work experience may be suitable for entry onto an undergraduate degree. Our Admissions Department will be happy to help you through this assessment and provide you with alternative options, should you not satisfy the entry criteria.
