HND Law – Course Structure

The 2 year course develops your knowledge from both a practical and a theoretical perspective.

You will explore the foundations of the English legal system through the modules below, as well as completing a Dissertation/case study.

Public Law I: Constitutional Concepts and Institutions
Law in Practice I: Civil and Criminal Courts and Police Procedures

Contract II: Performance and Breach

Public Law II: Constitutional and Administrative Law
Law in Practice II: Introduction to Employment and Discrimination Law
Year 2 European Union Law
The Law of Trusts
Law in Practice III: Introduction to Conveyancing
The Law of Tort

Entry requirements (2 year)

  • Candidates to be at least 18 years of age
  • Hold 4 GCSEs or equivalent (including English and Maths) or 120 UCAS points

Entry requirements (final year entry)

  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) Law or equivalent

English proficiency – for non-English speaking countries as defined by the UKBA

  • IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
