Career direction
Typical career paths include the undertaking of a Law LLB in order to become a Barrister or Solicitor. Other legal professions available with an HND Law include Legal Executive or advisory roles. You will also have a wide range of options available in private and public sector management, advisory services and legal enforcement.
Progress to a Law LLB
This course is delivered through our partner institution, St Patrick’s. Successfully completing it provides access onto the first year of Law LLB also offered through them.

Entry requirements (2 year)
- Candidates to be at least 18 years of age
- Hold 4 GCSEs or equivalent (including English and Maths) or 120 UCAS points
Entry requirements (final year entry)
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) Law or equivalent
English proficiency – for non-English speaking countries as defined by the UKBA
- IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
