BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Studies*
A degree in accounting and financial services can open the door to many lucrative careers within banks, insurance firms, consumer finance companies, brokerage firms, mutual or investment funds and various roles within large multinational companies.
The BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Studies degree will provide you with the skills you need to build a successful career in the financial sector, including financial services, accountancy, or consultancy. Recognised by the ACCA, the programme is relevant and up to date, ensuring that graduates are prepared for the competitive financial sector. The BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Studies also offers a study path to combine the degree with the ACCA qualification. Graduates who wish to pursue the qualification receive considerable exemptions from the examinations, offering up to 9 exemptions.
Company-Based Learning
Giving you the opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience, this programme also includes an optional year-long work placement. Our Careers Service will endeavour to help you find the ideal placement to complement your programme, interests and career goals. Taking place between the second and third year of your degree, your work placement will allow you to develop specialist business knowledge and practical experience, giving you a competitive advantage in both your final year and your future career. Those who do not choose to complete a sandwich year will continue straight on to their final year of study.
The industry relevant BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Studies course has been designed by Lancashire Business School and the degree is awarded by University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

Students who do not satisfy the academic or English Language requirements can apply for our Foundation Programme or International Foundation Programme to prepare for enrolment on the next available intake.
