Management Development Programme

In a fast-paced global marketplace, your industry knowledge and understanding of the latest trends can set you apart from the competition. The Management Development Programme (MDP) is designed for recent graduates who wish to acquire or improve on existing practical business and management skills. The intensive programme is studied over a 4 week period with two pathways available:

  • Business Management
  • Financial Management

The course is taught by specialist professors at the LSBF campus in Central London. You will participate in highly interactive case studies, business projects, and group discussions. It offers a unique opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and learn in a multinational environment based in the heart of London. You will increase your employability and acquire an understanding of organisational politics and social dynamics, while experiencing one of the world’s most exciting and lively cities.

Who is it for?

Typical candidates for the programme are ambitious individuals from varied organisational and international backgrounds. You will be in the early stages of your managerial career or will have recently graduated from an undergraduate programme.

Entry Requirements

  • You must have an undergraduate degree or be in the last year of your degree studies. Degrees in all subjects are accepted as the course aims to introduce students to new disciplines.
  • Required level of English for non-native speakers is IELTS level 5.5 or equivalent.

Assessment and Evaluation

Students will be assessed based on their classroom participation and a written assessment — to be completed at the end of the course.

    The Business Management pathway examines the diverse aspects of managing a business. You will learn about corporate finance and its role within the world of investments. You will also be exposed to the project management tools used to implement and run successful projects. Finally, you will acquire effective strategic planning and leadership skills, which will help you to understand the best practices and newest theories in this area.

    The Financial Management pathway studies the fundamentals of various financial management areas and uses realistic business scenarios to help you develop core competencies. You will explore different methods used to analyse financial information, in addition to understanding how investment and financing decisions contribute to the development and maintenance of sustainable competitive advantage.
