The Syllabus

The MBA in Financial Services programme is composed of 4 modules and a dissertation to be completed in a period of 8 months on a full-time basis. The programme can also be studied in blocked (on a part-time or blended basis) to fit with work commitments.

There are no options, all modules are compulsory.

The four modules are:

  • Marketing Planning
  • Strategic Planning
  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Operations Management


Students who have completed ACCA P3 (previously 3.5) or CIMA P6 gain exemption from the Marketing and Strategic Planning modules.

Extensive learning outcomes

The programme is delivered using a proven LSBF format, designed to enable students to further develop the following capabilities:

  • Knowledge - formal lectures, individual study time, seminars, workshops and case studies.
  • Thinking skills - structured group/seminar discussion, problem-solving activities, written assignments.
  • Practical skills - academic and research sessions, case studies and workshops, data collection and analysis projects.
  • Career skills – forming/developing working teams, organisational, motivational and communication skills, critical analysis skills.
