MBA in Financial Services

Use your professional qualification to gain exemptions.

London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) is one of the only UK institutions to offer an MBA developed with ACCA and CIMA candidates in mind - the MBA in Financial Services. This innovative programme is validated by the University of East London and has been specially designed for practicing finance and accounting managers who want to move their professional qualification to Masters Level.

The focus of the programme – covering Marketing Planning, Strategic Planning, Organisational Behaviour and Operations Management – gives students the practical and analytical tools they need to flourish in senior executive roles. The programme is also a perfect springboard for those wishing to continue their research at doctoral level.

Who should study MBA in Financial Services?

• ACCA and CIMA qualified candidates
• If you are starting your CIMA or ACCA studies, or are part way through them, LSBF offer a special set-price package to enable you to book your professional papers and MBA in Financial Services at the same time.

Structure and Delivery

The MBA in Financial Services is composed of 4 modules and a dissertation. The programme can be studied on a full-time and part-time basis. We are currently awaiting final validation by UEL of a flexible, weekend study option.
Please call us for the latest update.

The programme consists of four modules and a management dissertation which count as a 60 credit module. For more details see the full syllabus:

Marketing Planning
Strategic Planning
Organisational Behaviour
Operations Management

The Management Dissertation should be related to aspects of Financial Services, and may be based on project work in the student's workplace. This dissertation forms a critical element in each student's career development. Working closely with a specialist LSBF tutor, students can use this part of the programme to showcase their research abilities, contribute original knowledge in their specialist field and create a defining statement of their professional direction.

Students who have completed ACCA P3 (previously 3.5) or CIMA P6 gain exemptions (subject to your ACCA/CIMA curriculum and work experience) from the Strategic Planning module.

To ensure each student is able to gain maximum career advantage from programme, LSBF provides free access to its Career & Interpersonal Development programme as part of the course, which includes Career Development and Communication Skills classes.
