CIMA Careers Prospects

CIMA qualifications are well recognised by potential employers, who will regard you as highly practical and flexible. The Chartered Management Accountant qualification covers business and strategy, giving you the skills to take you straight into management level careers. It will enable you to develop as an executive manager within an organisation.

CIMA boosts the commercial relevance of its qualification by actively encouraging students to gain practical experience in the workplace. A CIMA member (Chartered Management Accountant) will have completed all three levels of the qualification plus the final case-study, TOPCIMA, and will also have recorded a Career Profile demonstrating at least three years' relevant experience.

All CIMA graduates are initially admitted as associate members. They may progress up to fellowship when they have acquired three years’ experience in a senior, responsible position. All members are expected to observe high ethical standards of professional conduct.

CIMA's members and students work across all business sectors at all levels throughout the world, demonstrating the flexibility of the qualification.
