Postgraduate Certificates in Finance

With an insight to the core areas of finance including processes and operations, a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance provides you with the foundations to understand and apply core financial concepts in the workplace. We deliver this through an incredibly interactive lesson structure, with a strong focus on industry relevance and real life case study scenarios.

The main objective of a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance is to empower you with the confidence to progress into a career in the finance industry or to move to a higher academic challenge such as an MSc in Finance.

For individuals who search for a different Postgraduate Certificate specialisation, please see Postgraduate Certificate in Finance and Management and Postgraduate Certificate in Management.

Entry requirements

The main objective of the Post Graduate certificate is to broaden the student's knowledge in the subject they wish to study, even if they have had very little or no experience in that field. Therefore, the entry criteria is as follows:

  • A diploma (BA or BSc) or similar qualification (HND, Associate Degree, professional qualification, etc) ideally from a different area to the one to be studied.
  • Mature students (aged 24+) are welcome to apply without any of the qualifications above.
  • Students in the last year of their diploma.
  • Business and Management graduates who require a more practical and professional approach of the subject studied in their degrees.

How to choose your subjects

We encourage you to establish some autonomy over the content of your qualification. You can pursue your own interests for career and business development by choosing from our growing portfolio of short courses, which are comprised of elective modules and a management dissertation.

And whilst we give you the opportunity to select the most relevant short courses to you, we continue to offer our experience in helping you decide the best pathway to meeting your ultimate goals.

If you need assistance in order to choose your subjects or if you have any further queries, please contact the Programme Director, Flavio Cabral – fcabral@LSBF.org.uk
