The Postgraduate Certificate in Finance and Management is our most comprehensive and holistic qualification, developed to allow you to establish a core foundation in these two fundamental business areas. This programme is deal for those who wish to secure managerial positions in a vast range of disciplines.

The core objective of the programme structure is to provide you with the flexibility to choose the subjects that you feel you need to strengthen your knowledge and skills to pursue further professional or academic challenges.

You will have the choice of five subjects from our entire short course range to commence this programme, with the opportunity to choose two courses in finance and three in management, or vice versa.

For individuals who search for an specific qualification in Finance or an specific qualification in Management, please see Postgraduate Certificate in Finance and Postgraduate Certificate in Management.

Entry requirements

The main objective of the Post Graduate certificate is to broaden the student's knowledge in the subject they wish to study, even if they have had very little or no experience in that field. Therefore, the entry criteria is as follows:

  • A diploma (BA or BSc) or similar qualification (HND, Associate Degree, professional qualification, etc) ideally from a different area to the one to be studied.
  • Mature students (aged 24+) are welcome to apply without any of the qualifications above.
  • Students in the last year of their diploma.
  • Business and Management graduates who require a more practical and professional approach of the subject studied in their degrees.

How to choose your subjects

A combination of five subjects from our entire short course portfolio is necessary to achieve a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance and Management. There is no particular formula apart from a balanced combination of subjects in finance and management, taking into account your previous professional and academic background and ultimate goals.

We encourage you to establish some autonomy over the content of your qualification. You should pursue your own interests for career and business development by choosing from our growing portfolio of short courses, which are comprised of elective modules and a management dissertation.

And whilst we give you the opportunity to select the most relevant short courses to you, we continue to offer our experience in helping you decide the best pathway to meeting your ultimate goals.

If you need assistance in order to choose your subjects or if you have any further queries, please contact the Programme Director, Flavio Cabral – fcabral@LSBF.org.uk
