Certificate in Trading and Analysis
A full course on trading terminals. This certificate is a combination of 2 of our short courses Financial Markets Trading and Analysis 1 and 2 (FMTA 1 and 2).
The objective is to give students a solid foundation of the different markets and its products in order to confidently unable them to use the terminals for trading purposes and to read financial data accurately.
FMTA 1 – A full introduction to financial markets in a global setting and will provide a strong understanding of the various products, their practical application and pricing. Students will also acquire an in depth knowledge of the current state of markets as well as gaining the necessary skills to read and understand the financial press.
Knowledge of different capital markets and its products is not necessary. Students are expected to have very limited practical experience, as this is not a course designed for experienced traders. Some revision on financial markets products will also be available during the FMTA2.
Students with existing knowledge of the products covered on FMTA 1 are welcomed toprogress onto FMTA 2.
FMTA 2 – You will be introduced to Bloomberg terminal functionality in a product specific context on a weekly basis. (3 full day sessions on Saturdays) Each session will incorporate guided self study time, with students encouraged to bring problems to class for investigation.
This is an incredibly practical course and during the FMTA 2 students will be using Bloomberg trading terminals throughout the duration of the course.
