MSc in Mergers & Acquisition and Corporate Restructuring

The once well-known territory of the financial sector is today an unfamiliar landscape. With respected multinational institutions including Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and Barclays Capital all subjects to buyouts, mergers and corporate restructuring, this specialised MSc is particularly relevant to the current market climate. As Companies are actively seeking targets for mergers and acquisition and to strengthen their position in the market, employees with specialised knowledge in this area are in high demand.

MSc in Mergers and Acquisition and Corporate Restructuring syllabus ensures students will not only benefit from a theoretical education in finance, but also from the practical training required to be a corporate manager. Students will be able to analyse the technical rationale driving a merger or acquisition and excel in strategic consulting.

Industry relevant practical training includes dealing with buy-outs, BIMBOs, spin-offs, unbundling, going private, and a range of corporate rescue arrangements requiring court approval. Students can expect to work in private equity firms, venture capital organisations, M&A departments and corporate rescue departments of international consulting firms, like Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Barclays Capital.
