MSc in Finance Course Syllabus

The GGSB MSc in Finance is structured to provide essential core knowledge in all the functional areas of finance, while developing the technical and interpersonal skills necessary for modern professionals in global business.

The GGSB MSc in Finance is available for full-time study:

	Full-time (only)
	Duration: 24 months
	Year one: Core modules Year two: Final Management Project

GGSB MSc in Finance Core Modules

The GGSB MSc in Finance has 3 core modules, all of which are compulsory and evaluated by assignment or examination.

The Fundamentals of Finance	Quantitatives for Finances Corporate Finance Financial Reporting and Analysis Economics
Mastering Financial Management	International Financial Management Investments and Valuation Management Control Systems Business Law Ethics and Corporate Governance
Advanced Finance	International Group Accounting and Auditing Portfolio Management, derivatives Mergers, Acquisitions, MBOs and venture Capital Financial Strategy

The core modules are followed by a Capstone Course to prepare you for the Final Masters Project:

Financial Strategy and Integrated Case Study	Critical analysis of actual financial operations (IPOs, debt issues, mergers, LBOs) Group work under time constraint
Research Methodology and Dissertation Workshop	Research methodology Choice of a subject and tutor for the professional dissertation

Once you have completed your modules you will then be required to research and complete your Final Masters Project, which should be between 15,000 and 20,000 words in total. You will have a minimum of three months to complete your project and this report can be completed and submitted from anywhere in the world, using LSBF and GGSB’s innovative Moodle learning platform.
