MSc in Digital Marketing

Although marketers have been able to take advantage of the use of electronic tools for some considerable time, the Internet and other digital technologies have produced an avalanche of exciting and pioneering ways of creating and communicating customer value.

The use of electronic methods in conventional marketing is known as E-Commerce and this affects traditional marketing by increasing efficiency in conventional marketing functions as well as transforming marketing strategies through technology. The change not only gives added customer value to business models but can also increase company profitability. This ensures that the Internet serves as an efficient marketing planning tool for both primary and secondary data collection.

Our MSc in Digital Marketing is designed in order to mirror the idea that E-Commerce is bigger than the Web. It includes items such as data collected at supermarkets with bar code scanners and B2B data exchange. The programme provides overview of many offline electronic marketing techniques; whilst focusing on the Internet and the widespread and increasing use for E-Commerce. The programme elaborates on E-Commerce planning and marketing mix topics from a strategic perspective.
