Open Executive Course in Company Valuation
The Company Valuation course introduces the key methodologies and techniques used to value both publicly listed and privately-held companies. Using established market practices, participants will learn valuation fundamentals, including the terminology utilised and performing detailed analysis of the key data required from financial statements. Valuation methodologies covered include comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, leveraged buy out and sum-of-the-parts analysis. Each technique will be thoroughly examined through case studies, and participants will discuss these real-world situations, reviewing key assumptions and understanding the impact on valuation. The qualitative analytics for company valuation are also covered, including critical elements such as industry analysis and company-specific value drivers.
Course director
Rudy Wadhera, BEng.(Hons) has significant experience in corporate finance and investment banking, and has an extensive knowledge of the theory and practice of company valuation. His valuation expertise spans a wide spectrum of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, leverage buy-outs, corporate restructurings, public-to-private transactions, initial public offerings and privatisations.
Rudy currently works for Scholar Capital Management, an investment management company. Previously, he was an investment banker in both London and New York with UBS Investment Bank and HSBC Investment Bank, spanning a period of ten years. He has extensive international experience of North American, European and Asian markets and has worked with companies in both developed and emerging economies, giving him a unique insight into valuation perspectives across industries and markets.
