LSBF offers a portfolio of eight stand-alone Advanced Certificate Programmes. The courses are 5 days long and offer students the opportunity to actively engage with more advanced subject knowledge and skills. The courses are delivered in a board-room style manner rather than being 'lectured', and focus around the competencies required to success in particular areas.

The Advanced Certificate Programmes are designed for those with prior knowledge in their field of study, either from prior formal education or through experience. The programmes are also ideal for those facing new challenges in their careers, whether seeking a new role or wanting to improve current performance.

 

Programme Range

Financial Planning and Analysis

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) course provides an in-depth understanding of how FP&A can be applied by companies to gain a competitive edge in terms of identifying cost patterns, uncovering savings and maintaining cash flow which is vital for any business both at a strategic and operational level.

You will develop the competency to challenge established work processes and engage in strategic review, manage and identify business related key performance indicators (KPIs), develop budgets and forecasts as well as financial planning and analysis to evaluate and control a business and provide decision support for the senior management team.

Neil Botten

Neil has been in consultancy for more than twenty five years, since becoming Principal Lecturer in Strategic Management at Westminster Business School, University of Westminster.

Prior to retirement from academy, Neil was Director of the Strategic Change Research Group and Deputy Head of Marketing and Business Strategy. Whilst with WBS he was Director of MBA programmes with responsibility for over 180 participants per annum all of whom were practicing managers and senior professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds and organisations. His most recent teaching involves Strategic Management, Managing Change and Foresight & Futures for each of which he was module leader. He has supervised more than 250 work based MBA projects in these topic areas. Over this time he has become well known as an engaging and energetic speaker, facilitator and teacher.

Consultancy currently involves both the public and private sectors and a number of voluntary organisations, where Neil has facilitated the introduction of both strategic planning processes, scenario planning and value for money reviews. Clients have included the BBC, Shell International Oil Inc., The Royal Botanical Gardens Kew, UBS Swiss Bank, Medecines sans Frontieres and British Telecom amongst other international organisations.

Stefano Attici, MBA

Stefano worked as management consultant in Accenture for 5 years (in Italy and Eastern Europe) and within corporate finance & investments in Barclays as a Director, Excellion Capital and Activ Solar for a further 5 years (based in London). He currently holds the position of Vice-President at Excellion Capital advising global family offices and Germany-based investors on disposals of portfolios.

Stefano hold an MBA from IESE Business School (Barcelona campus) and have been collaborating with LSBF since 2012.

Mike Berry, MSc

Mike Berry MSc, Dip DM, F IDM, ARCS is an internationally recognised lecturer and consultant in Marketing with a specialism in Digital Marketing. He has a BSc (Mathematics) and MSc (Social and Economic Studies) from Imperial College, London. Over a 30-year business and academic career he has worked at P&G and held senior roles at top global Advertising Agencies including Wunderman/ Y&R, Euro RSCG (Havas) and Interpublic (IPG). He was Head of Digital for EMEA at Jack Morton Worldwide before becoming a freelance consultant and lecturer.

Mike has worked with many of the world’s top brands including Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Nestlé, Xerox, Monsanto, JP Morgan and GSK. He has taught Undergraduates and Postgraduates at Hult International Business School, London and is a visiting lecturer and MSc Assignment Supervisor at the University of Warwick. Over the last 12 months he has delivered Digital Marketing Training/ Keynote Presentations in over 20 countries. Mike is a Senior Examiner at the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing and he runs his own Digital/Content Marketing Consultancy.

Jose Scheuer

Having lived and worked in four European countries, Jose has truly international experience. She has an MSc from EAP-ESCP (Paris, Oxford, Berlin) and worked for 10 years for Nivea in Hamburg within Trade Marketing, Brand Management and International Marketing. Her industry experience adds a priceless value to individuals to study with her. Having lectured at the Hanze University in the Netherlands, she also has years of experience with teaching subjects such as Brand Management, Strategic Business Management, Marketing Research and E-Commerce.

Emanuela Giangregorio

Emanuela is an experienced performance improvement consultant with over fourteen years practice in delivering bespoke professional training, focused performance coaching, structured team building and project consulting. She has trained employees from companies such as Rothchild, Agrega, Zurich Financial Services and MasterCard Worldwide. After achieving a BSc degree in Computer Science and a first class Honours degree in Applied Mathematics in 1991, she joined a large mining and finance company in South Africa (Anglo American Corporation), where she gained 7 years’ experience in IT risk management, business process improvement and people management.

In 2001 Emanuela established her management consultancy, Aikaizen, in the UK. She has since practiced across many industry sectors and in several countries across the EU, Africa, Central Asia, Asia Pacific and the USA. Emanuela has trained and coached all levels of team members and managers to reach personal fulfilment in their jobs and to succeed in their chosen career paths, her training delivery style is action-centred, practical, energetic and engaging.

James Milne

Since graduating in 1971 James Milne has spent the majority of his career in the downstream sector of the oil industry. James gained experience with a variety of international oil companies, independent traders, suppliers and large fuel distributors. Starting in the industry as a retail representative his career progressed through various levels of operational management, ending with Directorships with Executive Board powers and responsibility.

11 years ago, James launched his own consultancy business, which has blossomed to become an international business, specialising in advising clients on supply chain logistics and marketing.  Clients have included Royal Dutch Vopak, Reliance Petroleum, United Nations, Jersey Electricity, the local governments in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Lewis & Harris. With an International career James has worked across the world in places such as New York, Liberia, Uganda, India, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi.

In 2011/12 James was brought in to advise the Consortium that eventually purchased the downstream assets of Total Oil in the UK, in a transaction valued at £360 million.  Taking the lead for negotiating new fuel supply contracts with Shell UK Oil and streamlining road distribution logistics into one provider; Hoyer was a major achievement for his business and its individual standing within the oil industry.

In addition to his consultancy work James has lectured on a number of degree programmes specialising in leadership management in the energy sector at renowned institutions such as; the Greenwich School of, the University of Plymouth and the University of Coventry.
