Lisa Kiddell
Lisa offers 10 years accountancy experience within both the public and private sector, followed by another ten years as a consultant and lecturer. Lisa is CIMA qualified and renowned as an inspiring and passionate tutor. She has the ability to make students feel at ease in class encouraging them to enjoy their learning experience.
Lisa has been involved in writing material for many years and is also a marking supervisor for the ACCA.
Henrietta Thompson BSc ACA PgCE
Henrietta is a chartered accountant who has 20 years Audit and Assurance experience with a leading firm. She spent several years in the firm’s national technical and audit quality assurance departments, in addition to providing training on accounting and auditing developments.
Henrietta has been teaching ACCA, CIMA and AAT courses for 6 years, specialising in financial reporting, audit and assurance and corporate governance papers at all levels.
Steve Lawrence MSc FCCA
Steve Lawrence has been a lecturer for over 25 years during which time he has lectured to students and professional audiences in several parts of the world, including London, Moscow, Zagreb, Dubai, Jeddah, Cairo, Beijing, Mauritius, Rome, Madrid and Kuala Lumpur. Before becoming a professional lecturer, he worked for 10 years in various accounting positions in commercial and industrial organisations including Pitney Bowes Ltd, Longmans Ltd and Prudential Assurance PLC.
Steve holds a Masters degree and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has published numerous articles, and is the author of textbooks on International Accounting and Advanced Financial Accounting. Steve specialises in lecturing on financial reporting based on international financial reporting standards.
Ken Garrett MA, FCA
Ken Garrett has over 25 years experience in accountancy tuition. He has been a member of the examination teams for ICAEW and ACCA and has been closely involved with the development of both conventional and e-learning study material and assessment technologies for tuition firms and professional bodies. He has lectured extensively in the UK and abroad.
Ken is particularly interested in auditing, management accounting, financial management and strategic management and IT.
Jean Thompson BSc, MSc, FCA
Jean is a Chartered Accountant with extensive industry experience and holds degrees in mathematics and management sciences. She has over thirty years experience of teaching business and professional accounting courses including ACCA and CIMA.
Jean’s specialist subjects include Management Accounting, Financial Management and Business Mathematics.
Amanda Percival
Amanda started her career in industry working for the Post office whilst completing her AAT qualification. After qualifying, Amanda worked in an accounts capacity for Great Escapes, Marks and Spencer and Sportswear International and during this time completed her ACCA qualification. Upon qualifying in 1999, Amanda found her vocation as an accountancy tutor for a private tuition provider specialising in preparing students from all major accountancy qualfications for their Financial Accounting & Taxation exams. Amanda's love of Tax led to her recently completing her CTA qualification and not only that but Amanda was awarded the Ronald Ison Medal and the CCH Prize for outstanding performance and highest marks in 2 of the CIOT exams in May 2009. Amanda recently joined LSBF Manchester as our specialist Financial Accounting & Tax and we are very proud to have her as part of our outstanding team.
Richard Munn Bsc, MSc
For the past 9 years, Richard has been lectured on ACCA and CIMA Financial & Management papers. Richard holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, M.Sc. in Logistics as well as being qualified with Lucas Aerospace as an ACMA.
