All of LSBF’s tutors have a minimum of five years teaching experience with other major tuition providers, many have been training accountants for a lot longer than this. Our ICAEW tutors all specialise in ICAEW teaching and have been hand picked for their excellent performance.

We feel that it is important for all your tutors to be able to teach you the in-depth knowledge required to pass your exams and so all of your tutors are trained thoroughly in their topic areas. Every ICAEW tutor trains at the highest level to make sure that they know more about their subjects than just the content of your syllabus.

Approach

We believe that a simple, straightforward approach is the most helpful to you when you are studying for professional exams. On our exam focussed courses we use ICAEW past exam questions and ICAEW mock exams to reflect the exam that you will sit as closely as possible.

Our Revision Notes concentrate on the key areas of the syllabus and summarise the information simply and clearly, leaving you time to focus on your question practice.

LSBF has an unparalleled variety of dedicated retake courses to ensure that you are able to find a course that suits you. We also offer a lot more support than classroom teaching alone.

Testing and Marking

We know that an important part of the learning process is to get constant feedback on your work. It is important that you are able to identify how well you are doing and where your strengths and weaknesses lie. For many subjects, it can be difficult to be objective about your own performance and it is here that the LSBF aims to add some value to your revision.

We will test you both before you come on the course and while you are on the course to ensure that you are able to better judge your performance.

We use the best markers available and demand the highest quality marking and feedback from them. All markers are subject to continuous assessment from LSBF and will provide comprehensive feedback when they mark the scripts.

Material

At LSBF, we use the official ICAEW study texts and questions, supplemented by summary notes written by tutors. All tutors at the college contribute to these texts to make sure that they are comprehensive, whilst at the same time clear and easy to follow. Over the years we have listened to our students’ feedback on the materials they use and have tried to incorporate it into the notes that we provide.

All our material is technically checked so that you will have completely updated, technically accurate revision materials, saving you time and effort while revising.

Administrative support

As you study for your exam, we understand that you will want to be supported at every stage and that it should take minimal effort to sign up for, and attend your courses.

Our administrators understand the pressures that you are under and aim to take the burden of administration from you to us. You will receive joining instructions as soon as you sign up with clear information about your location and tutor. You will also receive contact details from your tutor and a courtesy call or e-mail from your tutor.

Once enrolled, you are also very welcome to call into the college at any time to use our superb library facilities.
